The Uncharted Regions will be Leaving during the update downtime on September 3rd!

Everything which is currently in the Uncharted Regions will become inaccessible from the start of the update downtime on Sept 3rd.

The Uncharted Islands Regions are:

• Region 3
• Region 11
• Region 15
• Region 23

While the Uncharted Islands regions themselves will become inaccessible, anything taken from them will stay in the game.

Items obtained from these regions including doubloons, trinkets, consumables will all stay in the game, including trades or interactions that use them. We will make further announcements if any interactions with these items are being removed/disabled in the future. Keep in mind that some items (such as those relating to uncharted activities) may not be useable at all once the regions close (e.g. silkmoths, volcanic bricks, wet boots, etc)

What exactly will happen when the regions are closed?

1. Players will be moved out of a temporary region to the closest core region (e.g. R3 -> R8)
   1. You will not be able to re-enter the region through any means (border, teleporting to waystone, quick teleport)
   2. If your quick teleport location is set to an uncharted islands region location it will be updated to the closest ruined town waystone
   3. Any items in the lost item chest will become unobtainable after the regions close
   4. Anything stored in a bank in the closing region will become unobtainable as well.
2. Deployables left in the region will be collected if your player is also in that region, in some cases they won’t be collected and will need to be remotely collected to get them back from your vault before being able to deploy them yourself.
   1. Any items or cargo that were in deployables left in the regions will be gone (dropped and despawned)
3. If your player house is located in an uncharted islands region, everything in it (Furniture and items/cargo contained inside) will be deleted, making your house available for instant relocation to another region after the maintenance.
4. Claims located in the uncharted islands and anything on them or in them (All buildings, items, cargo, project, etc) will be deleted and not recoverable. Nothing from them will be retrievable once the regions are closed.
5. All empire watchtowers will be deleted which will remove them from your empire along with any maintenance cost from the nodes.

What you should do to prepare, ensuring nothing unexpected is lost

What you should do to prepare to ensure you don’t lose anything and don’t have any hiccups

1. Ensure your house is either empty or already moved to a core region
2. Ensure your empire capital is located in a core region
3. Deconstruct anything your want to recover items from (including Settlement totem’s themselves) in your settlements in the uncharted islands regions
4. Collect any items or cargo in the region (stored in chests, banks, deployables, lost item chest, placeables, house, etc) and move it to a core region to avoid losing it.
