Community Guidelines
While within the world of BitCraft Online, we want all of our players to enjoy their time, but most importantly, we want everyone to stay safe. We have established some behavioral guidelines for our entire community while in-game and while using our other platforms, such as Discord, Steam Discussions, Twitch, and other social media. These guidelines are here to complement our End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy, and are meant to work in tandem with other requirements set by third-party social media platforms.
Be Respectful
Our community is a friendly, welcoming one. We recognize the diversity in our playerbase, and we strive to ensure everyone feels included. We do not allow harassment in any form, crude language, hateful speech, or other uncivil behaviors that may make BitCraft unenjoyable for others.
Don’t Disrupt the Community
Spamming, stalking, griefing, doxing, and impersonating others is not allowed.
No Advertising or Solicitation
Don’t use BitCraft or any of our community's spaces to advertise, promote, or sell anything. This includes, but is not limited to: websites, fan-made websites, third-party tools, and any real money trading (RMT).
Follow Real World Laws
Safety within the world of BitCraft extends beyond what happens in-game. Discussions involving illegal activities, including any threats or harassment will be reported to the appropriate authorities when deemed necessary.
Impersonating Clockwork Labs Staff
Players must not impersonate Clockwork Labs staff for any reason.
Clockwork Labs staff will never message you in-game and ask you to visit a website for any reason.
Clockwork Labs staff will also have titles that show "Clockwork Labs", "CWL", or "Dev" on their name plates. They may also have "Moderator" or "GM" titles on their name plates.
Clockwork Labs staff will never ask you for your password or any other personal information related to your BitCraft account. We will also never direct you to a website to input such details or request any action that compromises your account security.
If you encounter any individual claiming to be affiliated with Clockwork Labs who asks for your password, personal information, directs you to an external website, or asks you to perform any action concerning your BitCraft account, they are not staff and are likely trying to scam or hijack your account.
Clockwork Labs staff can be reported just like any other players. If you believe a Clockwork Labs employee is breaking the rules, please report it. You will not get in trouble for reporting Clockwork Labs staff members.
Rules on Automation, Macros, and Fair Play
To ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all players, we strictly prohibit any form of automation, botting, or unauthorized modification of the game client. By playing this game, you agree to abide by the following rules regarding player input and gameplay behavior listed below.
Prohibited Actions (Ban-able Offenses)
The following actions are strictly forbidden and may result in immediate suspension or permanent banning of your account:
Use of Macros, Macro Scripts
Automating sequences of gameplay actions using a single input (e.g., one key press triggering multiple in-game commands or actions) is not allowed.
Botting or Automated Gameplay
Running programs, scripts, or tools that play the game on your behalf—whether for combat, resource gathering, trading, or any other activity—is strictly prohibited.
Multi-Client Input Broadcasting
Sending a single input to control multiple game clients at once (also known as input broadcasting or mirroring) is not permitted.
Cheating or Exploiting
Cheating or exploiting is strictly not allowed. Behavior such as, but not limited to: moving faster than intended, duplicating items, bypassing movement restrictions, walking through impassable terrain, or otherwise exploiting bugs for gaining an advantage is considered cheating.
Allowed Behaviors (Not Considered Cheating)
We recognize and support accessibility, user convenience, and the use of external tools that do not provide gameplay advantages through automation or unauthorized control. The following are examples of acceptable behavior:
AFK or Multitasking During In-Game Actions
We don't consider stepping away from your keyboard or focusing another window while your character completes an in-game action to be against the rules (e.g., crafting, resting, long animations, etc.).
Key Remapping and Input Devices
You may rebind controls or use alternative peripherals (such as gaming mice or accessibility devices) to trigger single in-game actions, provided that these do not execute multi-step macros or automate gameplay.
Use of Public Data and Tools
You are welcome to use external tools that present publicly available game data (e.g., settlement stats, item prices, or player rankings) to inform your decisions—as long as these tools do not control or automate gameplay.
